Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time and talents for the Jackson River Scenic Trail Marathon events.  There are a number of administrative and course safety roles that volunteers can fill.  Opportunities are open for any block of time you wish to volunteer from 2 hours to the entire race day.  We need volunteers to assist with a myriad of race day details which include working at water stations along the route, following each race group as the “sweeper” to let race administrators know when each group has completely cleared the course, parking vehicles, directing traffic to/from the parking lot, group line up at the start line, handing out participant medals at the finish line, cheering on the runners and everything in between.  There is something for anyone interested in helping.  For specific information on positions and times of service available, please contact the Chamber 540/962-2178.  Groups are highly encouraged to volunteer – scouts, churches, civic associations – all are welcome to volunteer!
